Natural Ventilation|Fire and smoke Industrial Huff®
The Ashdale College designed by Donaldson Warne architects is home to over 1400 students. As always with education buildings and learning facilities, the use of natural daylight plays an important role in the building design and student learning. Sunshading allows this to be done without allowing direct sunrays entering the building whilst reducing heat loading to the facade. Arcadia worked with Donaldson Warne and Emco to provide a complete project incorporating design, manufacture and installation. Zest® solar shading was incorporated to the face of window facades and were pre manufactured as large louvre screen panels to provide the desired look by the architectural team. Arcadia Spur louvres were used around air-conditioning platforms and decks to screen unsightly plant and HVAC equipment.
